Yolanda Fairley is a Mother, a Grandmother, an Elder in the Lord’s Church, an Intercessor and a Playwright. Yolanda is the founder of The Box of Xpressions, where “Anything can come out of the box”, such as, conferences, seminars, stage plays, etc.

She was born and raised in the Apostolic Church and holds fast to the teaching she received. She later connected with Bishop Cardell Booker where she accepted the calling on her life. It was Bishop Booker who gave her the name, “The Powerhouse”. She would go on to preach her first sermon and has actively served in ministry in some capacity for 28 years.

God has given her a burden for mothers with wayward sons. She believes that it’s a given that mothers pray for their sons. However, who’s praying for the mothers? Moms With Wayward Sons is a God inspired movement.

She is blessed to be the wife of an amazing man, Deacon Layton Fairley and the mother of four amazing adult children, Kendrick, Jarvis, Jara & Lanelle and grandmother of 5 wonderful grand babies. Her ultimate goal is to hear the Lord say, “Well done thy good and faithful servant”.

Kintsugi: Beauty in Brokenness

“He heals the brokenhearted and bandages their wounds.” — Psalm 147:3 (NLT)

Kintsugi is a special Japanese art form where broken pottery is put back together using gold or silver. Instead of hiding the cracks, this method highlights them. Over time, kintsugi has become more than just an art—it’s now a symbol of resilience, healing, and personal growth. It teaches us that even after we break, we can come back stronger and more beautiful. By showing the cracks, kintsugi celebrates the history of the object and proves that being broken doesn’t make something less valuable—it can actually make it more meaningful. It also helps people learn to accept their flaws and see beauty in the things they’ve been through.

This can be a powerful picture of how God heals people, especially women who’ve been hurt, rejected, or gone through tough times. Like the broken pottery, we may feel like our lives are full of cracks. But God doesn’t throw us away. He picks up the pieces, gently puts us back together, and fills our broken places with His love and strength.

The gold in kintsugi reminds us that our scars can shine. They tell a story—not just of pain, but of healing and hope. When God restores us, we’re not the same as before—we’re stronger, wiser, and still beautiful.

May you be filled and poured out for His glory!
